Percentage off MSRP on new trailers
Ok, the shortage of new units seems to be coming to an end, I see RV dealer lots filling up quickly. I'm guessing my local dealers are at 70-75% of normal inventory levels, With more units on the way.
We are thinking of down sizing to a 26,27' WhiteHawk.
Before COVID and the inventory shortage, 30% off MSRP was very common as a minimum to expect, with 33-35% not unheard of.
So with inventory filling up and MSRP way up, what have new owners been expierancing as far as selling price off of MSRP.

Purchased our '21 Pinnacle this past May. List was 128.8K. Dealer added the Jayco solar with 2 panels at no extra charge. That added I think just over $2k to the price if we had had to pay it. We paid just over $93 before taxes.

In early spring 2015 I paid 36% off MSRP for my trailer, which I ordered.

Shop around online. There's RV One that sells at a large discount. Theres a dealer close to the Jayco factory that does too. Either buy from the big discounters or ask your local dealer to match.

Just a reminder......
That's when you can run into warranty repair issues. Many dealers will put you at the end of the line, or not do the work at all if you didn't buy from them. Is it right "no", but that's how many play the game.

After shopping around we decided to pay about $1000 more to the local dealer for that reason. Sometimes though, the front of the line looked an awful lot like the back of the line. They would make an appointment months out to look at it, then when you get there at the appointed time, they start searching their schedule for when they MIGHT begin to look at it. Then repairs after that... maybe..... if they can handle it and can find parts. Ridiculous.
Next time, if there is a next time, we will seriously consider the dealer closest to Jayco, since most of our many, many warranty repairs were done at Jayco, Lippert, and Dexter factories anyway.

We bought our 2021 212qb last September. We paid $17,000 and that included hitch and brake controller, installed. From $26,000 list, that calculates to 34.6% discount.

I would get a quote from RV Express, The RVExpress They were the best pricing we found when shopping for our 2019. Only catch is you have to pick it up in Middlebury. We, similar to the above service concerns, paid a premium to order from a small, local dealer.
About a year after we took delivery the small dealer sold to a larger group and our outstanding warranty issues were not their priority. Phone calls & e mails not returned and I can't imagine it would have been worse if we had bought it elsewhere. Something to keep in mind as you shop.

And some dealers put you at the end or won't even work with you on warranty issues even if you do buy it from them.
One dealer I used has a place near Fort Worth and another in Oklahoma. They sell multiple brands. Never again.
After all the runaround from the dealer (documented), Forest River/Tracer took care of it for me.

Yes, We would seriously consider buying there, if we buy another Jayco. We did get a price from them, too.
4-5 hours each way for repairs, but heck, major items end up at the factory anyhow.

We purchased ours in the last week of December from a Jayco factoy-direct dealer (they only sell Jaycos) . MSRP was $43,000. We got it for $28,000. It has every option and package that comes on it.
Everyone locally was selling at about the same price for 212's that had less options on them.
They instantly took my first offer and never counter-offered, I was expecting to have to go higher. So I still wonder how far down they were willing to go; I should have started at $20K. I will say, in the last week of December the lot was completely empty of people and they were full to the brim with new units sitting there. So i don't know if it was an end of month - end of year issue to show sales or if demand has died off after Covid.

Thank you for the information! Hopefully I can get something similar as it seems there are a decent amount of units for sale as well.

Did you have a trade or just an outright purchase?
