Strictly personal preference. Although I have lived in 2 States where open carry was allowed, my preference is concealed carry only. If a meth head or scared kid wants to rob a convenience store I might be in, my feeling is I prefer not to have him see me as a threat because I have a gun hanging off my belt. That may be silly, but that's my thinking. I also believe if you don't practice and or train on a regular basis, you probably should not be carrying a fire arm.

Personal preference.. I have never owned nor been trained in firearms.. I would be my own worst enemy
Open carry is legal here. I am fine with that and don't feel threatened.

Remember in an emergency and seconds count help is ONLY minutes away!
Don't forget to have items for medical emergencies either.
Those who are prepared are those that survive...

I completed 22 years of Federal Law Enforcement service several years ago. I was the case agent for a top ten serial killer in 1999. I have looked at evil square in the eyes. I carry everywhere. Find me one place where there have been no shootings.

Did you see the news the other day about hikers on the Appalachian Trail? Woman was hacked to death by a whack job with a machete.

This is a personal decision to make and I don't fault anyone who chooses not to carry. Be safe.

A bit of an eye opener for me.

I'm a Canadian and firearms for the most part are illegal around here as far as I know.

I travel extensively in the USA and have never ever felt like I needed or wanted a gun.

I can't foresee myself running into an altercation with anyone that would require a firearm. I have my opinions, but if someone else wants to be right, that's fine by me.

Maybe I'm naive, but no guns for me....hopefully ever.

I always travel with a pistol, be it travel trailer or motel.

The most important safety tactic whether you carry or not, is be aware of your surroundings. Situational awareness. I've seen people enter a business with a robbery in progress. Had all the warning signs but people just aren't aware of what is happening all around them.

I see joggers in my neighborhood with head phones on completely oblivious.

We don't need a gun because it looks like pretty much everyone else here does have one. You are all good people, right? (We pray and trust God, and I hope you all do, too.)
