Propane

i have a 2018 36FBTS it came with 3 bottles. I have thought for the last 2 yrs i have 30# bottles. Today i has one refilled and was charged almost double and was told it is a 40#. Can anyone tell me how many Gallons a 40# bottle holds. ?

30-7.1 gals, 40-9.4 gals. They generally only fill to 80%

Should be imprinted on the guard around the tank valve. Included is the empty weight and full weight which effectively tells you the capacity. Also is date manufactured. Information is in pounds and/or kilograms.
