Pulling 20Amp Fuse for Slideout Motor

I have my slide-outs braced and supported on slide-out jack stands. Since I have two kids who like to play with buttons; I am worried they may accidently retract the slide causing damage to the motor if it gets bound up by the jack stands.

To prevent this mishap, I thought I would pull the fuse for the slide-out motors.

When looking in the fuse panel, it is a 20amp fuse but is a different looking fuse than the other traditional looking fuses. It is a black rectangle box. I am hesitant to tug too hard as I am not sure if these are removeable? Certainly the other traditional fuses are. I presume there is a reason that Jayco opted to not use the typical blade type fuse as the rest of the wiring is using; but not sure what that is.

My description is not very good so I will try and post a picture later this week to show what it looks like.

Those are most likely circut breakers and will reset after overloading. You should be able to pull them out like in most cars. Another option is to take the screws out of the wall switch and disconnect a wire if this is a permanant site.

As for the supports you might want to reconsider doing that due to any shift if the ground could lead to a disater and rip the slide from the unit. For instance a flat or deflating tire or sinking in the ground after a heavy rain. The best option is to block the frame rails or put jack stands up to it. The only thing really holding your slides are the trim panels inside.

Just my 2 cents.

Slide out supports are not recommended by any of the slide-out manufacturers that I know of.
