Replacement Tail Light

Have a 2019 Jayco Jayflight 29RKS. I need a replacement passenger side tail light. Looks like it has moisture inside it and half the lights are out. I’ve been unable to find the replacement anywhere. I have checked the Jayco parts catalog and the Command website. I do know it is a Command brand light. If anyone could help locate where I can purchase this it would be appreciated. Photo uploaded vertical but is horizontal Thanks.

I have the same condensation and water penetration issue, but I do not have light failure, yet. How do you remove the light. I'd like to dry it out and seal it up.

I believe you need to remove the red plugs covering the screws. Not sure how to get them off without damaging it though. I feel like a suction cup of some sort could work. Tried to pry one out with a small screwdriver but only got a little movement

I tried the same thing. I am concerned that I will damage the cap or the hole with the screwdriver.

This looks like your lamp, maybe a bad picture of it, and it appears to have the optional chrome ring attached.

It's easily replaceable with any trailer (12v) fixture. If it was mine I would reolace the pair to make it look better. If you are trying to keep everything original, I get that.

@JoeFriday:

Ours is not like the ones online. I think yours is like ours.

I spoke with our dealer service manager. He told me to use a scribe or pick-pointed tool to pry the caps off. There are screws under them. I'm going to open it dry it out and put it back on. I am going to seal it with clear Quad, clear RTV, or GeoCel. It is likely that I will mangle a cap or two. He said the caps are available through the parts department. I am going to do both lights. I need to go around and do all of the lights and markers. So I will do it while I am in caulk mode.

With an RV, you're either in caulk mode, going into caulk mode, or coming out of caulk mode!

Or you’re standing in water.

@JoeFriday

I used a tiny drill bit to make a tiny hole in the caps. They pulled right out with a hook scribe. I was not having any luck with them. They were getting mangled. So before it got too bad, I got the drill idea!

After I dry them, I am going to reseal the entire perimeter of the light, caulk the screw and its hole, and put a little caulk around the cap perimeter and over the tiny hole I made. I will also put a little butyl over the screw holes before I set the light over them.

If I ever need to remove them again, I can puncture the caulk and use a scribe in the hole to pull the caps. I am going to use clear Quad or clear RTV. I have had excellent results with RTV on trailer seals, mainly lights and windows.

With new ones, hopefully the caps won't be inserted; maybe they'll come in a little bag. Keep me posted. I will post my results.

Just FYI, I needed to replace one tail light on my Alante and was able to find the exact part on Amazon once I had done a little research.

I have the same issue and am curious of a part number or source. My local Jayco dealer is a pain to deal with.
