We actually have 2 aluminum and 1 black of those as well as the rain gutter type item. One camp site the sewer was far in the back (older campground) and we had to use those 3 plus extra sewer hoses - sort of reminded me of the movie RV.

Slinky Support

You may find that the CG requires the hose be supported, so it may be a must have item. However, I have not run into the requirement here in Louisiana and Mississippi, yet. I use the Camco to hold the hose even though I have a 4" rain gutter to lay the hose in first. I find it easier to make a proper slope to the receptacle, that ensures a clean dump. It also protects your hose from dragging on the ground and developing pin-holes.

I went from this....to this.
seasonal of course.
I immediately adjusted the slinky so it actually supported the PVC.. Although I really don't think I need it, I want to keep stress off the the trailer dump valve

I use it alot of the times when there's a concrete curb around the "hole" or just when i'm pulling the hose a little tighter. It's worth having.

I bought a 10' section of plastic rain gutter for Home Depot for a couple of bucks. I cut it into two pieces, one a bit longer than the other, and the sewer hose fits inside it perfectly. It keeps the hose from twisting and turning during use. I can use the shorter piece if close to the hookup, the longer one if farther away, or both if I need the full 10 feet. I use a bungee cord to hold it under the trailer sewer connection, and a piece of 2x6 to support the middle. Easy to store and clean.

I have the same thing and I actually use it in my support from time to time, especially on a long run to keep it from falling down in between.

They say "--it rolls downhill" but you still might want to help it along

Seems to be a few "crappy" threads on here (illegal crap hauling too).
We have one and I use it any time I actually hook up the sewer hose vs a dump station. Most places require it anyway.

That is mainly used when the drain is higher than the ground around it. Stuff’s gotta go down hill!

if the park's plumbing is downhill, the slinky isn't useful BUT most places I've been (on the east coast) have the pipe sticking up a few inches out of the ground and the elevated slinky provided the downhill I needed to dump into the pipe.

The park we are currently in has a requirement that the sewer hose must be supported and off the ground. The main reason is that they have a lawn service that cuts the grass and trims around the rig every week.
They are not responsible for the sewer hose if it is damaged.

I didn't know some places require it. We bought one but left it at home since we never used it.

I have been in parks that ask you to disconnect on grass cutting days. I have never been at a campground that required a hose support.
