ETA: as for the stinky slinky support, I don't own one, and for now wont unless someone requires me to. My waste tank outlet sits about 3" off the ground, and most of the supports are a lot taller than that. Unless I want to coax the waste to flow uphill, it would be a bit of a issue.

Not required or needed in most places. Gotten to the point that I only use it when the campground requires hose be kept off ground. They are more trouble than they are worth. Just make sure your hose is securely screwed into or plug with a rubber donut, into ground
Enjoy the journey

I've always used mine to take any stress off the drop from the camper towards the drain connection. Didn't know some places required it, either.

I think they are a pain to use. seemed like every time I dumped the hose would roll off of it due to pressure. over the years have only been in one campground where they were required. Gave one away and other one is in storage locker. Not ever going back. Safe travels
Enjoy the journey

We use ours every time that gravity might become a messy issue.
IMO, they cost about $30. In the Rv world, about the cheapest insurance you can find to prevent a biohazard! LOL!

It makes dumping just a little easier. I use mine all the time.

I have one that is only 10 feet long. Make sure you get the 20 foot sidewinder.

I actually use it on the way out. Dump stations have been raised concrete at last two camps

When your hose is empty, not that big of a deal, although nice to keep it off the ground and maintain a good slope to dump connection.
However, if you watch what happens when you open your valves, the weight of the water in the hose really makes it drop if it is not supported. Causes drain efficiency issues.
For that reason, i use the slinky.

Cheap, easy to store, keeps the hose secure while dumping. Cut mine to make 2 sections, one 4 foot, one 6 foot, making it adjustable as needed.

I carried one around for eight years and gave it away after not using it.
If I go to Arizona I'll get another one (or, I think, Oregon).
For the uphill bit, I go weeks without dumping the black.
I dump the grey water every 5-7 days. If uphill, I'll go outside and lift the hose.
I keep my valves closed unless actually dumping.
