Shower tent

Hi Guys,

I will be at a campground without shower facilities with 4 adults and 4 kids. In order to save grey water tanks I though about buying a shower tent (one of these below) and use the outside shower faucet.

https://www.amazon.com/WolfWise-Dres...wer+tent&psc=1

However, the outside shower will be facing the road, so this is not really a feasible option to put the tent by the faucet - see my drawings below.

Do you have any suggestions how I could solve this issue?

Thanks!

Depending where your at, some states have laws against any "dirty" water draining on the ground, especially in a campground.

Really? Did not think about it. Even when you are using biodegradable soap? I saw such tents already in California, therefore, I thought about this solution. I am heading to Yosemite and will check potential restrictions there as well.

Northern Calif, you probably don't even need the tent...

Think about it.. if everyone took showers outside, what a mess that would be, plus, it's not sanitary. I would doubt Yosemite would allow it. Not sure any government campgrounds would.. but, for sure check it out so you know. Even biodegradable soap has to go somewhere. Big issue is to keep everything out of streams, lakes etc.

Hahaha, good one.

I've just educated myself. I was wrong about the biodegradable soap. As I am reading it may have negative impact on plants... No shower tent then.

we have a shower tent, don't use it that much but we put a rubber maid bin and use it for the kids. Also I have used a rubber maid in the shower indoors and then use the saved shower water to flush the toilet, we find that we never fill the black tank. Or you can walk the water to the disposal site.
