Slide Out Lower weatherstrip
Noticed this weekend when we were cleaning the trailer, that there was an opening to the outdoors at the wall / slideout on our 265RLS at the back ( can't see at the front). I went under and noticed the weatherstrip was 1/2 out and 1/2 was curled in under the slide and trailer body. Not sure if it was supposed to be in, or out, so went to my brother-in laws to check out his Starcraft 5ver with a super slide also. His weatherstrip was all out. So, after some lengthy struggling, was able to pull the weatherstrip out. So today, i cleaned it with GM Superlube, than applied AcDelco Silicone Emulsion on both sides of the weatherstripping ( keeps it soft ), than used a spray wax on the bottom of the slideout to make it slippery, and had the wife close the slide as i watched, and the weatherstrip did what it was supposed to do. Now, no more easy entry for rodents, and the slide moved in easier. Keep those weatherstrips soft, wax the sides and underneath, so your slide will work like its supposed to
