Slide out room.

I have a quick question about my slide out.

When I move my slideout out, the bottom starts to move first, then the rest will move out. Same thing coming back in, the bottom will start to move in then the rest will follow. This is my first trailer with a slide and just want to know if this is normal. I called the dealer about it and they said that it is normal because it is a "flush floor" slide out. I just want to hear from the "real world" poeple and see if yours does the same thing..

Thanks,

Dave

Yes I have a flush floor slide out in my 26bhs jayco and as it goes out the bottom moves first because when its all the way in it tilts slightly upward from the floor, so when it goes out the bottom moves first to level off then it proceeds straight out. Hope this helps

P.S. I would much rather have the flush floor slide out than some of the trailers with the big lip that you have to step up on to. One trailer we had looked at had barely any support under it looked like that they just put a few scrap pieces of would at the last minute. Plus when you slid that slide out it really wiggle a lot.

Thank you both very much. I just wanted to be sure. It moves very smoothly and it's suprisingly quiet too which is nice.

I agree, I like the flush floor better. I have been in a couple with the lip and I didn't care for it much.

Again, thank you.

Dave
