Surge Protector with Adapter

We have a 30 amp RV. We had to book a 50 amp spot. I have the 50 to 30 dogbone adapter. My question is this: can I hook into the 50 amp electric pedastal with my dogbone adapter THEN connect my 30 amp Surge Protector to the dogbone adapter THEN connect my RV to the 30 amp Surge Protector? Thx for the help and advice

Yes, but you will only have 30a service.

Any 50A site that we've ever been on also has 30A service so you probably won't need to use the dog bone. Regardless, as the others have said, it will work.

I've been finding so many loose 30a receptacles lately, I've been using the 50a with an adaptor more often.
