TPMS: Setting Tire Temps
Purchased a TST507 for my travel trailer. Have read most of the threads. I still don't understand where you set the high low temperature settings. For example, we are going to leave an area where ambient temp is around 65 but will travel (in the same day) an area where temps will be in the 90's. Then we will travel through the desert. Do we set a new temperature each day? We are running ST206/75R14C's on a travel trailer, duel axle. Thanks for the help.

Google your tpms and watch the utube video by the mfr. They recommend to leave the factory temp setting/parameter at 158* I believe.

The default is 158. If it ever gets that high you have a low pressure problem. That is the Michelin default temp.

The manufacturers of both the TPMS and a vast majority of the tires seem to agree on 158*F as the "magic" number. Of COURSE there will be "experts" who will tell you otherwise..... if the tire manufacturer tells me that there may be a problem when the temp goes over 158*F, the I believe them, whether I'm in the Death Valley heat or high in the desert!

No sir, you do not need to adjust the max temp that was set at the factory. As mentioned above, 158 is the temp that most tire manufacturers recommend as the "golden" number. If you still have questions, call TST tech support.
I've been using a RV507 system for a few years now and wouldn't consider traveling without it. It has saved 'My bacon" more than once.
