We were looking at the JCubes in the bunk house
I really like them And would go in that direction over the trundle

I guess it depends on how often they are being used.

When shopping we nearly pulled the trigger on 32BHDS and would have went with the trundle simply because for 90% of our trips it would just be our 3 kids, therefore 3 actual bunks was preferred and the occasion we had a 4th kid with us they would get the trundle. Per my kids, the J Cubes were not as comfortable so that aided to.

Ultimately we eliminating the decision by getting the quad-bunk with no bunk slide or outdoor kitchen. That was the right decision for us.

We have the J-Cubes and the kids love them... they can pull them out and bring them in the living area to watch TV and lay down on the floor, or will bring them outside on occasion to hang around...

The J-Cubes were the choice for us. Our 4 kids sleep in the rear bedroom and our 2 girls sleep on the J-Cubes. They love the idea they can sleep side by side or not. I have had my sister and brother in law sleep on the J-Cubes and they remarked how comfortable they are. One thing I did not like about the trundle bed option was the lowest bunk was actually on the floor.

We like the J Cubes because our grandkids can sit on the J Cubes to watch TV when weather is bad. They are more versatile than the trundle beds in my opinion.

We have the J-Cubes and they are great -- when 2 of them are put together they fold out to about the size of a king size bed (we've actually had 4 smaller kids (5-6 & 2 8yr olds) sleeping on them at one time side-by-side -- can't do that with a trundle:wink. Only had them for 1 season, so not sure what the longevity is - the inside is foam so may "squish" down over time, we'll see.
