TV Mount for Jayflight 28BHBE
I hope someone her can help. My dealer doesn't have a clue. My new Jayflight 28BHBE comes with a rotating a TV wall with a mirror on one side and a place to mount a 32" on the other. My trailer didn't come with the mount or any instructions on how to mount a TV there. With the mirror on the other side we are afraid to screw anything through it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What our mount looks like
We have a 2013 Eagle 284BHS and the Tv setup is probably the same as yours. Here is a link to a previous post of mine and it has some pictures of the mount. When you go to the link scroll down a few posts to find it

Great pics! Still trying to find out what screws to buy to go with the factory mount as it does not come with them. We are worried 1/2 screws won't be strong enough to hold the TV.

I just went out and looked at the Tv mount. Without taking out a screw, I can not give you the diameter of the screw, but what I can tell you is the backboard that the mount attaches to is only 7/16" thick and the mirror is right against it. The mounting screws have lock washers under the heads. I would remove a screw, but it will not be as tight when I put it back in, so I do not want to mess with it. Jayco should give you the info. My guess is that with a lock washer (added space) under the head it is a 1/2" long screw.
Be careful and good luck
Don

I'm going to try tomorrow on my 287BHBE. I got #10 1/2" screws. We'll see how she goes.
You better measure that space before you buy a 32". Mine is 25.5x18.5, which will fit a 28" max.

I have the 2015 28BHBE and the opening is bigger. The 2014 that I was suppose to get was smaller. Very thankful it is bigger since I already owned the 32" TV. Let me know how it goes. Did you get the mount from Jayco or did you purchase a different one?

Decided to just go get it done. .
Correction on before. I used #10 5/8" wood screws, and this:
http://m.campingworld.com/shopping/i...ed-mount/51563
The TV we have is an LED that doesn't have any color shift at angles, so I'm not worried about adjustability.
I drilled a very small pilot hole, just so the threads would grab.
I'll get some pictures in the daylight.

I was hoping to use a full motion mount so that I could pull the TV out and turn it so that we would have better viewing from the sofa. We bought a mount from target but it uses big bolts. Plus if I use small screws with it I'm afraid the weight when we pull it out will be too much. That was a great deal on that mount from Camping World. Did you pick it up in the store or have it shipped? You guys have been such a great help! So glad to have found this forum.

Full motion mount
Mine is not a full action mount, but I am not sure that the 1/2" screws will support the Tv that is extended out from the mounting board, as there is more leverage and stress on the mounting bracket. As mentioned in an earlier post, check the thickness of your mounting board... a 5/8" screw would have been to long on mine as the board is only 7/16 thick and the bedroom mirror is flush against the mounting board. Don't need to break a mirror in the trailer....

That is true. We will definitely measure it before buying the screws. I do like the idea of using the locking washers. Hopefully Jayco or my dealer can give me more information today. Thanks again!

I was hoping for more movement too, but every extended mount I looked at weighed way too much, or was so thick that we would loose the rotation on the entertainment center.
Walmart had a slim line mount that rotates and swivels for around $25 that I considered, but I really wanted the TV to not protrude from the box too much.
I picked mind up at CW. It was the exact same price in store.

You have to remember that most wood screws are setup to be countersunk, and 1/8-3/16 is in the screw head. With that and the mounting plate thickness, the effective length is 1/8-3/16" shorter.

I sent Jayco an email about it, and they were less than helpful. It was a long winded "contact your dealer".

Have you thought about adding a piece of 1/2" - 3/4" plywood (or a 1 by solid wood board) onto the existing plywood mounting board? I would think either liquid nails or gorilla glue secured with a few wood screws would give you the thickness you need for a beefier screw for the mounting bracket.

Slide is in, so this is the bedroom side.

Thanks for the pics! I'm going to pick up the mount from my dealer this week. They said Jayco told them to use 1/2 screws. I will buy some locking washer too just to be safe. Thanks again for all the help!!

I just noticed this thread...we have a 2013 28BHBE that came with the "technology package" including the TV. Here's a pic of the mount, but it doesn't have any part numbers, etc on it.
It has a swivel mount that pulls out from the cabinet (as seen in the image).
