Am I wrong to think that it should be exhausting?
Should not be drawing air, that makes no sense. Something is bass ackwards

IMO, all bathroom fans exhaust air. Could it be that your fan motor was installed upside down?

I installed a Vortex 2 fan about 3 months ago on our 23MBH. It is amazing how much of a difference it makes! The install did take me about 30 minutes and I did need a Dremel to cut a rivet. It was super easy. I purchased on Amazon. Great easy inexpensive modification.

Your fan sir is a 12 volt DC fan to reverse the rotation you just swap the two motor leads.

After discovering it pulling air in instead of exhausting I looked at it closely thinking that it must be wired with the wrong polarity but the fan blades would not work well if I reversed the polarity. I then looked at the bar that spans the opening and holds the motor and it is spot welded and shows no sign being tampered with. Could it have been assembled wrong at the factory and the previous owners hadn't noticed this for 11 years? In either case this will have to be corrected and one of the before mentioned fans will do a better job.
