do I really have to winterize?

Hi. I own a 1992 Jayco 1006 pop up camper. No toilet. No shower. No hot water tank. The only thing I have is a portable 5 gallon fresh water tank. After I empty the water and let it dry, I assume my camper is ok for winter storage. Or should I blow out the plastic water line to the sink as an added precaution? I can't think of anywhere else water would be hiding. Any advice? Thanks, Mike.

IMO, after removing the water source and pumping the water pump are few times, that should remove of any volume water that could create a problem and that should be it.

But I have to ask... On the drain side, do you have a p-trap under a sink? (I'm assuming - and hate to do that - no gray water tank and no p-trap).

Good question. The water drains from the side of the pop up though...out of a round drain hole that's threaded with a cap when not in use. I have no grey tank. But I think I'll inspect the drain system a little closer before closing er up for the winter. Thanks.

Winterizeing means different things to different people and the procedures vary based on models and features...

The end result is that anything that has water in it that is exposed to freezing or sub freezing temperatures will likely crack and break when the water freezes and expands.

In your case it's pretty simple. It sounds like you have it covered.
