Greetings! I bought a 2001 Heritage no Corner Braces

Hello and thanks,
Just upgraded to a 2001 Jayco Heritage Popup. Yes, its needing work, ie out up wet and general cleanup etc., and I am sure I will have many questions so the first thing I did is join this forum

My fist question is that this camper did not come with corner safety braces like my other, different brand, has. I searched the forum and online and I did see where it was disused that Jayco does not use these. It was kinda muddled why, I assume it has some feature that is the cabling breaks, the roof will not drop...

I would like to see that formally said, ie its not needed, your 2001 Heritage model has a safety feature that eliminates the need for safety braces".

If this can't b formally confirmed, I was thinking it would be best to go ahead and make a pair, to put catty-corner for safety

...what say you?

My 2017 Jay Sport 8SD has two that are used on opposite corners.

There was a period of time that JAYCO/STARCRAFT quit adding them. They had some kind of built in safety on the cables.

I had a late 90s Jayco and a much older Coleman. Neither had corner braces. Never gave it a thought. Even when we were on the edge of a hurricane in Florida. Both had a large single wire puling 4 smaller wires to lift the corners. If one broke, the others would hold it up.
But I did inspect and lube the lift mechanism ever season and never saw any wear on the cables so it never came to my mind.

I'm thinking I will add them down the road but not make it a priority.
