remote control

Hi everyone, new to jayco. recently sold my smaller forest river and got a 2017 Jayco Jay sport 12SC. It came with a small black 2 button remote. It is identical to the one seen in the add below.

so the remote doesn't work, battery is good. So was going to re-program, but I cannot find the receiver anywhere. looked in all storage compartments and under camper, hitch, ect... And no, the owner's manual says nothing about it.

Anyone have this camper and know where the receiver is?

I would contact Jayco. Might just be something the previous owner left behind.

Do you have a power lift system? That's what it appears to be, up and down. If yours doesn't then it came from something else. LED lights under the awning? Power slide extender? If there is a model number on the remote and with your ViN call Jayco customer service.

Being the remote for a power roof, it may be near the actual raise/lower mechanism, where ever they mounted that. If you haven't already, check for a blown fuse in the breaker panel. It may have unknowingly blown on the previous owner.

remote

So I did a little digging and found the remote and control unit online. Made my Gama electronics

https://www.gamainc.com/product/rf12v1pr-asl/

So now I know what I am looking for. traced the wires from the motor back to behind the power converter. There I found the slideout room controller, not the remote receiver. So either jayco got cheap in manufacturing or the real remote receiver/motor control was replaced. Being how hard it was to find and get to, I don't think it was replaced. It also has a date stamped 2017 on it which is the same year the camper was built. So the remote I was given would never work since there was no receiver and Jayco used a slideout room controller and motor to raise and lower the roof.

If you contact JAYCO with the link I put in Post #3 they could tell you if it was shipped with the remote system. That way you would know if the previous owner removed it.
