Mine is about the same. It hasn't caused issues camping in wind, rain, or snow yet. I haven't attempted to fix it, but have seriously thought about it.

We winterize our trailer 5 or 6 times each year because our 3 year old likes camping too much to worry about the cold. Seems a lot of campers in our area think you are only legally permitted to do so...
