I somehow lost a long reply, but I see the problem: There are 2 styles
of the E2 - one has trunnions (similar, but not identical, to the E4) and the other has bent bars that insert into the bottom of the hitch head. My comment about bars under the hitch head was the version with the bent bars. From the ad that appeared on my screen, Etrailer, sells both versions of the E2 ($299 w/bent bars, $389 w/trunnions).
In any event, I haven't seen any good information comparing the E2 and E4 (like someone trying both on the same TT and TV, or a friction comparison between the two). In my opinion
, the friction on the E4 would be greater than the E2 and therefor it would be better at reducing sway.
Folks that have the E4, myself included, like them. On the other hand, I haven't found anyone complaining about their E2.
