Picked her up from Ford service after getting

- alignment
- front breaks
- air filter
- oil change
- cabin filter
- oil leak fixed under warranty.

She is all ready for our up coming trip to Florida!

Changed the oil and used every last drop of my stockpile of old formula Chevron Delo 400 LE. Since the new Delo SDE stuff isn’t on Ford’s approved list, it looks like Rotella T4 next time.

Thank you I'm at dealer now having hitch swapped over from old truck. I installed hitch in old truck and decided to let someone else have the joy of installing this time.

Did your truck not come with the fifth wheel prep? Makes installing and removing hitch easy.

I hated how much chrome they put on these things.
I love all the chrome! This way when the little car in front of you stops short, they can see their own reflection just before you turn them into a hood ornament.

No it didn't have prep. I hooked up when I got home and looks good 6" at tailgate and 7" on sides and sitting level. Hitch is a BW Patriot set with the middle settings.about 1" in front of center.

I washed it and waxed it and thought it was clean, I mean it looked clean. Rubbed my hand across the paint and didn't feel right so I clay-barred the entire truck. Followed that up with the P&S Beadmaker, now it's clean and smooth and it only took 4 hours! Yeah, I'm being facetious. Whew!

Gave it a much needed bath yesterday. Turned out it was a rain dance though - hasn’t rained here for several weeks, but now that I washed the truck... At least it was clean for a day...

I give you all the credit in the world doing your detailing yourself. I've become really lazy over the last few years and just pay someone to do it. There is a guy near my work that will pick it up and drop it off during the day and he is extremely reasonable. It makes it really easy to have it done.

Lol thanks Moon but I don't consider myself a detailer. I leave a lot of stuff undone like inside door jambs etc. Those guys go crazy. I just like it to look good and it's a black truck so it doesn't stay that way very long. I do all the routine maintenance on it as well and I think you do the same for your trucks. Even if I was a billionaire I'd still change my own oil.

Yes, I do 100% of my maintenance myself including most of my repairs (unless it is warranty of course).

Here's a few pics after my Ford came back from the detail shop. It was completely covered in bugs the interior had a bunch of sand in it from being at the beach.

Well, I finally got around to scrubbing things down after the New Mexico trip - and yes! - exactly what you said - the bugs came off a lot easier. Sweet!! And I love the way it beads when wet, even when it's got a layer of dirt on it.
