This is an old post I know but were they able to fix your problem?
My local dealers' repair shop said an electric awning that "pops" is typically due to the arms not being in the proper alignment...the arms in alignment with the mounting track. Watching your video, the timing of the pop was right when the bottom of the arm was leaving the mounting track...does that make sense? Maybe there was some binding going on there?
The repair shop told me they can adjust this to work fine while in their shop but extreme cold or hot temperatures could still make it pop again due to expansion and contraction of the arms and/or the trailer itself.
Read thru this thread while searching for answers to a different problem my awning is having but thought I'd pass along this info in case anyone is still finding problems with popping.
