proper hookup of city water
If I have a pressure regulator and a water filter, what is the correct order to hook them all up? Thanks.

Everybody has an opinion on this but I do it this way.
Campground spigot -> pressure regulator -> in line water filter -> white water hose -> camper
Some put the filter between the hose and camper.

Yep...lots of opinions.....
I happen to put my regulator at the camper but not sure it matters. I was told once that a hose lying in the hot sun can build up pressure so you want the regulator last.....will that cheap regulator protect the slow static buildup like that - probably not.

I always hook my regulator up to the CG spigot first, this way my hose is also protected.

After you camp at a campground with about 150# water pressure and you blow off the ends of your hose, you will start attaching the regulator so that it also protects your hose.

This is also the way I connect. I blew a hole in a hose once so I like to protect it now. I added a brass elbow at the camper so the hose hangs straight down.

I added a quick disconnect, hate getting my fingers around that female connector on the TT and turning it, always was a pain.
And yes, regulator before hose. Filter should go last in case creepies are in your hose.

Regulator, short hose, filters, longer hose, trailer. I don't like the weight of the regulator hanging on the plastic plumbing of the trailer.
When we spend the winter in Az we use the following. Regulator, short hose, filters, RO water filters, small hose to water tank in trailer.

I am still experimenting. But I also don't open up the CG spigot all the way to help "gate" back the pressure. As long as my pressure in TT is good I can operate off of minimal opening of CG spigot. I also always turn off CG spigot when we leave TT for hiking, or longer periods, etc. Hate to think what a busted line inside camper would do while I was away. (the brass elbow at TT female fitting is a great idea also).

Even with a partly open faucet you will get maximum pressure if nothing is running in the trailer.
