I've not been there but my neighbor has gone there several times with his family and loves the place. Says it's really really nice.

2nd only to the Fort

We stayed there last year... Gorgeous!!!

I reviewed Anchor Downs vs River Plantation here -

http://www.jaycoowners.com/forums/f1...-tn-39455.html

The owner is very dedicated to this location being a top tier resort destination. The landscaping is immaculate. The individual fireplaces scattered throughout the campground are a very unique touch and the facilities are amongst the best we have found anywhere we have stayed.

At one point last August we commented that it felt more like a Caribbean resort then a campground.

Anchor down

Best RV' resort ever. Large lots million dollar views. Not cheap but worth every cent. Book early treat yourself to a site with a fireplace. Awesome

A fellow that I work with stays there numerous times during the spring, summer, and fall.

If you are into fishing Douglas Lake is one of the premier Crappie habitats in Upper East Tennessee.

In fact they will be going on the "bed" in about two weeks, so getting you daily limit should be no problem, once you locate them.
