Cheap camping

On our recent trip to the west coast or actually on our way back, we stopped for a night at the Dancing Eagle Casino in New Mexico. They had bill boards out on Highway 40 advertising the RV camp.

WE paid 11 dollars for full hook ups a night. Of course they gave a little push for us to visit the casino (which we did not)
I believe that was their idea , that we would stay and spend money at the casino.
You can , but it is not part of the deal. We really stopped because we wanted to use their WIFI. Which worked pretty good.

Now we wonder if all casinos are that way, Cheap or free parking at the casinos for RVers. This is something that we will watch out for as we travel.

Casino camping out West is almost as popular Walmart camping. No real reason to go to a Casino however unless they offer a variety cheap buffet.

Hollywood Casino in Joliet offers free breakfast. $20-$40 or it used to be. Dump station, no sewer. Hinkley MN has a large FH CG at their Casino.

We stopped at the Wild Horse Casino outside Pendleton, OR on one trip because it was very convenient, and a good location for our evening stop. The RV park wasn't the prettiest, but it worked. We had a REALLY nice dinner in the casino, but didn't gamble. http://www.wildhorseresort.com/

A lot of the casino's in WA have nice RV parks attached.
One in Oregon, https://www.sevenfeathers.com/, is a big favorite among RV'ers. We haven't been there yet, but from what I've heard, it's really nice.

In Oregon all the BLM land you can find a place to park and stay for 14 days. No charge, there is no hookups. There rules on how far you can pull off the roads. To the best of my knowledge you can pull off the full length of your rig. I camp on blocked off logging roads skid trails or just make sure the ground is solid and back off.

If you do find a actual BLM campground then there might be a charge and even hookups. I do not go to those, I like being able to be out on our own. Our camping friends like the same type of camping. We can turn the dogs out and not have to put them on a tie out.

West has alot of BLM lands: https://freeroam.app/?gclid=Cj0KCQjw...oaAnvFEALw_wcB
