Maine After Oct. 15???

Need to travel to Maine for an event in Bangor on Oct. 21. Thought about taking my 23RLSW, but then I started checking on campgrounds. Looks like EVERY CAMPGROUND within a reasonable distance of Bangor closes for the season by Oct. 15. What's up with that????

I'm really not sure I would take the trailer anyway, but it would be nice to have an option. So do you know of any decent campgrounds in the Bangor area that might still be open?

Thanks!

Roger

That's strange. Peak leaf season end of Sept on the coast mid to late October inland. At least that is what I read and based our late Sept early Oct. trip on.

There are very few campgrounds in New England that are open all year around. It get fairly cold in October around here. You can try www.visitmaine.com to look for a campground.

Agreed. I expected to find at least ONE campground open year-round, or at least to late October or early November. Nope.

No luck there, either, but thanks!
