bathroom fan (air flow in or out)
This might be a dumb question, but ....
I have a 2018 Jayco HT 5th wheel 27.5 RLTS. When you turn on the bathroom fan, air is sucked into the bathroom from the vent on the top on the trailer. I expected it would exhaust the air from the bathroom thru the vent. Could it be wired backward?

It's either wired backward or the fan blades are installed backward. It supposed to suck the air out which is why the bathroom door has such a large gap in the top and/or bottom for air flow.

Installing the blades backwards results in not change of air flow as you can see in the two photos below with one fan blade flipped 180 degrees.
You motor is running backwards, switch the two wires at the fan.

I assume you are sure the vent is open? When closed, mine feels exactly like it is sending air into the bathroom.

Which fan model do you have? Can you post a pic of it from inside the camper? I ask because there is a low profile fan on 2019 and 2020 HT fifth wheels that do not have the old style crank-up lid. Instead, it has a diverter. Mine has this style, and it will recirculate air if the diverter isn't set in the correct position. I think mine is an EZ Breeze. There is a not so easy to see/understand handle you spin to open/close the side vent. When closed, it does not vent to the outside and just recirculates the air the fan is moving.

Given the reports of Jayco build quality I’d try reversing the wiring, either at the switch or fan.

A picture of the vent would be helpful. The vent in our 28.5 has a small looking black handle that when turned either pulls air in or exhausts the air out.

Speaking of build quality when I fixed the fan housing on my 248rsbw I found an extra wire hang out of the vent framing.
Turns out it was a bundle of extra wire left behind!

My self installed Hengs Vortex is reversible with a switch. If it is not a diverter and you have no switch, then it is wired backwards.

It's wired backwards. One of my MHs even had the stove vent wired backwards.

I have to assume you meant that you swapped the wires at the fan. The motor will definitely turn the other way if the wires are swapped AT THE FAN. You'll probably have to cut some wires somewhere and butt splice them together the opposite way.

That is the EZ Breeze fan. If you look closely at the two long rectangular vent strips on each side, you will see they have a levered damper that flips when you turn the black handle. In one position that damper closes those rectangular openings and lets the fan push air out through the exterior vent. When flipped the other way, they block the exterior opening (primarily for cold weather conditions) and in that position the fan forced air recirculates back down into the living space. These fans do feel like they are pushing air back inside when they are actually exhausting some air to the outside.
Personally, I think the fan is a piece of junk, but it is low profile, and that counts when its at the highest point in the roof of a fifth wheel.
If you still think the fan is wired backwards, look carefully at the fan blades and the rotation direction: you should be able to determine the direction of air flow. You can also climb up on the roof and feel the air flow or use a spray mister to observe the direction of air flow.
I'm going to bet it isn't wired backwards. Mine made me think the same thing until I checked it carefully.

I agree with Nature 1st. I have the same fan on my Eagle HT and was confused. Called them and they sent me a copy of the users manual. Once I read that it all made sense.

Before you get too far along. Do yourself a favor. Set up the fan to exhaust. Take a single Kleenex and hold it up by the fan grate. It should pull the Kleenex up to the fan. By doing this you will know the fan is exhausting the air as it should. The CFM on these fans is so low it is had to tell just by holding a hand up there. This is how I determined my fan was exhausting.
