Lightbulb Dog ramps and stairs

Hi Campers!
We have a small Sheltie who can’t navigate the steep stairs to our Jay Flight 175 RD Baja Edition. We’re looking for pet stair solutions but could be convinced that a ramp is better. The goal is to avoid joint and leg damage from jumping too high and tripping. What do you do for traveling with your pooch?

I bought a ramp from Petco but the ramp has like a sandpaper finish on it and my pup could not grip it so I put carpeting on it with 3M adhesive and that did the trick. The lip was way too small so I had a piece of aluminum formed up to a step so it wouldn’t be so steep then she only had to navigate 1step. I made a clip so I could also use it for the car.
Need to go out and put it on the car to give you a close up of the clip attachment so give me a min or two.

Thanks!

The picture and modifications are helpful. We’re looking at a trailer step solution so it’s different in ability to anchor.

I used this ramp for camping also as I set it on the top step and the other end was usually on the grass or dirt and I used a tent stake on the other end so it wouldn’t slip, get the right shape of stake and you won’t trip on it.
