Third tier tire company made in China is not the best endorsement. But i will research them further. Thank you for the response.

So far the only other tire I have found for my trailer 205/75 14 besides the good year is the Maxxis. MAXXIS is made in Taiwan. I think I can sneek this season out and hope i can find something else next year. All the other passenger car tires of that or a similar size do not have a high enough load rating.

Before anyone "goes off the deep end" please dig deeper into Goodyear's actual corporate stance. What may or may not have happened at one of their (many) facilities does not reflect their overall company policies. Rogue elements who are not representative of the organization as a whole can really create a stir, especially in these very divisive times.

I don’t choose my tires based on a tweet.

No clue. Just put 4 Endurance tires on the TT a few weeks ago, and the F150 came with 4 new Wrangler AT/S's when I bought it.

If a tire comes along that is better than the Endurance I will buy it instead. I just bought a set of Endurance for my TT and am happy with the tires.

My current G614's are by leaps and bounds better than any tire I ever ran on my rig. Sailun would be my 2nd choice.

I am not going to mix politics with my tire choices and I still have not heard the whole story about what happened, and don't think it will be accepted as a discussion point here on JOF.

Tires like all other items are built all over the world. Don’t for a second believe all Goodyear tires we buy are produced in this country. Like others I will buy what I believe is the best quality for money spent. That being said I will not buy tires made in China. To each his own. Safe travels.

Enjoy the journey

The only Goodyear tires I own are the Endurance on my TT. After a year and 5000 miles I am satisfied with their performance. I will buy them again when the time comes.

Goodyear sponsors all of the NASCAR teams and as such they seem to have an excessive amount of flat tires in every race! Indy cars run Firestone's and I don't think I've even seen one go flat during the race.

That being said, I don't think this is the place to discuss political issues that have no useful purpose related to RV'ing. Just my $0.02.

I have always been a fan of LT tires on my trailers. I've had very good luck with Michelin XPS ribs over the years.

My current Jayco was delivered with LT tires included in the Baja package. I was expecting a name brand, but it ended up arriving with these generic "Trail Guide AP" tires. I hate to admit it, but I have been very impressed. They have been all over the south in summer heat, pulled down long gravel and dirt roads, and have been flawless in the 4 seasons that I've had this trailer. I would actually consider buying them again as a replacement when needed. But, I have no idea who even sells them.

Not getting into the Goodyear political issue, but asking: If one were to choose not to purchase Goodyear, what is a quality alternative? I see Maxxis suggested, and I would purchase them since they're made in Taiwan (another political landmine).

Thanks,

Roger

I don't know if you've run a company, it's just that you cannot have employees
fighting over politics all day. Any other business would take the same stance if they had too.

Another tire thread and this one has an element of politics which I thought was off limits here.

I agree. As much as I appreciate a good tire discussion, it will be difficult for this thread to continue without the political overtones.
