Labor Day Weekend

Hope you've got your reservations.

The KOA Monthly Research Report – August Edition indicates that just over 25 million households plan to camp over the Labor/Labour Day Holiday.

That's one advantage of keeping a camper at one spot for extended periods. We will head down to our camper at a RV park in Rockport Texas on 8-31 and stay for a week. Not half to worry about pulling it anywhere, setting it up, finding a spot, etc. We have friends who also have their camper at the same park. Works really well for us.

We leave Labor Day for a month long trip to Colorado. Hopefully we'll see more rv's on the other side of the road headed home than going with us.

This is probably the 1st year in 10+ years where we will not be camping over Labor Day!

We have our reservations for Labor Day weekend at our favorite local campground. I'm sure that they are completely booked. With that said, I just received an email yesterday from that campground stating that they were offering a 50% off weekend this weekend and had open sites. You couldn't have sniffed a weekend without advance reservations last year.

Never camp on the big holidays. Too many people. In the past we did either the weekend before or after but not holiday weekends. Not crowded, at least that’s the way it used to be.

Camping in Grand Marais MN.

Leaving this Tuesday and coming home on Monday. Labor Day.

We be an easy ride up. Will be a horrible ride home on Monday. It is my only option with my work schedule.

Nice to be retired, when we're going for just a few days we arrive on Sunday and depart no later than Friday. Everyday's a weekend for us.
