ltc and rv

Hi all, just a thought.
I live in a rural community in MA. Ive never felt the need to lock my vehicle in my driveway and just up to a couple of years ago, never locked my house.
New to rving here and plan on driving and seeing most of our country in the upcoming years.
Just wondering how you all feel safe on the roads of usa ?
Boondocking and such seems to leave you in a quite vunerable situation.
Thinking about getting ltc just for the rv,( my wife would flip if she even thought i would get this) I do have a descent knowledge of guns, do to boy scouts and military. I'd also get the the proper training and liscences.
Just wondering how many do ? Has it ever come in handy?
Thanks Pete

I carry all the time. I'm also retired law enforcement with a license to carry concealed to cover all the bases. I carry more for family protection from large animals when hiking. However, I'd be ready if I ran into some humans who chose a path in life to act like animals towards my family as well.

I always have a fire extinguisher handy when traveling, hope I never have to use it...

Here is a handy guide to keep you out of trouble:

I don't carry because I am not interested enough to keep up the training necessary for proficiency.
We feel quite safe camping all over the USA.

And when we can we camp more in Canada where guns are very restricted.

I once had to guard camp in the Arctic with a shotgun and as I had never fired one was not thrilled. ( everyone else went hiking someone had to guard the food from grizzlies)
