Question about wheel jacks.

In three weeks I will be moving my Jayco Jay Feather X 23B to Wisconsin where it will be put on a permanent site. A friend of mine is hauling it up for me. He suggested that I get 4 jacks to put by the wheels on the 2 axles and lift the trailer up slightly so the weight of the trailer won't be on the tires, then cover the tires for protection. Has anyone done this? It's an added expense I hadn't counted on. Must I also buy a hydraulic lift in order to set the jacks?

I'm total new at this, so any help you can give me will be helpful.

I don't know if I'd be too worried about the tires on the ground. Keep them covered though. You can use bottle jacks at each corner I suppose if it absolutely needs to be elevated. Maybe two in the center...idk. Thing is, I know a couple who full times at a CG and their trailer tires touch and they haven't seemed to have a problem. They do use bottle jacks though. Their trailer is pretty darn stable too.

Lifting the tires off the ground is going to put additional stress on the frame in a way that it wasn't designed for. The trailer was built to have the wheels on the ground. In my opinion, using jacks to stabilize is ok but not to lift the trailer.

Covering the wheels is a smart idea.

For permanent stay You are K to put Jacks in the front and rear of the axles but on the trailer frame. Don't jack on the axle tubing. add to that the front an rear stabilizers on your RV is solid. I always jack my frame up so the tires clear the boards they sitting on.
And always covering the tires for UV protection.
