Spldide Washer not spinning

Hey Gang
Yesterday our Splendide washer went through an entire cycle but never ran the spin dry- just a slow rotation during rinse. Ran another whole cycle and the same. Standard "Mixed Load" cycle #5. So far I've snaked the drain hose and did not find any obstruction.

We'll call Spledide in the morning, but until then does anyone have any ideas or any common gotchas?

Thanks
Angus

Is it draining? Did you check the pump screen? Could be a worn belt. Did you run a cycle with it empty to see if it spins then?

Good points Grumpy, thanks. It is draining well, just leaving clothes quite soaking wet. We’ll try an empty cycle.

Solved. I didn't do a GOAL with the instruction manual first and I had not been told that the offending laundry load included towels. We do towels all the time with no trouble. It turns out that the machine's logic board senses an out of balance condition and tries to redistribute the load by changing direction a few times. If it is unsuccessful after a few times it will simply finish the load without the spin cycle.

I have been using my 2100XC for 10 years and never knew that. I guess I have been lucky with balanced loads. Or it did it's thing and I never knew it.

Yeah, I'll have to give that little machine a lot of credit. We have been running at least one load a day, almost every day, for over 18 mos. It cleans tough stains as well. When it was new, the logic board died, but the manufacturer was a pleasure to deal with and had a technician on our doorstep with the part in a matter of days.

That and the Intervac Central Vacuum system have exceeded my expectations.

Don't get me started about Furrion...
