Throw Rugs

Does anyone use rubber-backed throw rugs? I was wondering if there would be a chance that the rubber backing could melt onto the floor in the heat (we do not have any carpeting in our TT)? I previously used other rugs but got tired of them sliding around all the time.
Thanks in advance!

My Bathroom rug is rubber backed and have not had an issue to date. By our kitchen I have an rubber foam mat and that is fine. I don't think it will get that hot. I use one on my heated tile floor at home without issue too.

The other option is to use the shelf liner grip that can be laid underneath the current rugs.

I guess it depends on how hot it gets. We have never had an issue and have used a runner style carpet as well as one in the bath.

I have a huge mismatch group of rugs. I have not had any issues. Most of mine where left in the house from the previous owner. When wet and dirty they get tossed out at canp, and grab another from the pile.

We've never had trouble with the rubber backed rugs in ours either. I don't think I would like to be anywhere hot enough to melt my rug backing ! Yikes!

We have four of them in out TT, and have not had any problems at all.

We have a couple of those rugs in our trailer and even in the heat of the Mojave Desert earlier this summer there was no problem. We did learn that it takes a long time for the A/C to cool off the trailer in 120* plus heat. Luckily we were set up in site that had some shade until it cooled off inside.

Unless you skid with the rugs other than that the rubber will not burn.......just kidding!
Use them all the time, very nice on the feet when temps drop to around 30 (0C)
Also it wouldn't be so hard on the vinyl flooring.
