Unplugged Shore Power, Battery No Longer Works

New to the forum, so thank you for any advice you can give!

Our inaugural trip in our 2018 Jay Feather ended poorly when I unplugged the shore power with the A/C running and I did not flip the breaker on the power source. Now, I cannot get the battery to charge, or provide power to the camper.

-Battery will not provide power to the camper
-Battery will not charge while plugged into shore power

I saw a video where there was a manual reset for a breaker just off of the battery but I can't seem to find it on this model.

Is there a fuse I could have blown, or a breaker I could have tripped?

Thankful for ALL advice!!!

There is a resetable inline fuse within 6' of the battery. There are two 40 or 30 amp "reverse Polarity" fuses on the converter. There is a 15 amp circuit breaker feeding the converter. The converter charges the battery. Turn the breaker hard off then hard on. Check the fuses with a meter. Don't just look at them. If you have a battery disconnect switch it must be ON or IN USE.

Unplugging without turning the power off did not cause your problem.

Your 12 volt and 120 volt systems are separate. The 120 volt system will charge the 12 volt battery when you have 120 volt power. Although it is not a good idea to pull the plug with appliance running, you didn't hurt anything.

You need a volt meter to check the battery to see if it has a charge, then start checking all the fuses noted above.

Has the battery ever worked and what are you trying to run with the battery?

The battery worked right before I plugged into shore power, so I have to assume that unplugging shore power with the AC on caused the issue.

I know the fridge needs a power source for the pilot light and I'd like to be able to run it on gas while traveling down the road. It would also be nice to operate the slide out and interior lights without being hooked up to power.

Sounds right. I'd start with a meter on the battery then follow the line checking the fuses as described above.

As they are two different systems it's odd that unplugging one, even under load, caused a problem with the other. If after checking the fuses you don't find the problem, it may be your battery wasn't charging while you were hooked up to shore power and it is discharged.

Battery is at 94% and still good. I'll search out the fuses down the line and see what I can find.

Thank you guys! I ended up pulling the 40 amp fuse and testing it with a different fuse and viola, it worked! I've learned my lesson to have a voltmeter with me instead of visually inspecting. The old fuse looked just fine.

A 12 volt test light and digital VOM are indispensable tools.
