Where to trade.

Would like to trade our '15 Greyhawk ME 29 for a truck/ rv combo. Anyone know the best place to put an ad?

Search your area for consignments? Although if you have a big RV center call them and tell them your story. If they think they can make money from you later then they will steer you now.

I think you are better off listing your current rig on Rvtrader or similar and just selling it then look for a TT/Truck. Trying to trade for a TT/Truck will not be an easy task, are you wanting new or used.

If you want top dollar sell the rig yourself, then look for what you want. You will probably need to sell the trailer and truck separately. There aren't very many people who will trade for a full rig, but, there are some out there.

Another option would be to trade in the trailer on the new RV and then sell the truck.

ours is a motorhome and we were thinking of a 5th wheel and truck.

oops, got it backwards. For some reason I thought you wanted the MH and needed to sell a truck and trailer.

If you can sell it yourself that's the way to go. Especially if it's a nice clean unit with no issues. I sold my last 3 class A's in Florida real fast and was satisfied with what I got out of them. I think the location is important on how fast they sell also.

Talk to a dealer who has what you are interested in and see what they will do for you by trading in your GH for a FW. I just traded an 08 GH31ss for a 2018 Mesa Ridge Lite 2410RL, got a fair deal IMO, I had to buy a TV ('18 F150 3.5EB, 10spd) to pull the TT but I also knew that going in. We wanted something with a better seating arrangement than the GH gave us. You can always just say no to the dealers offer.

I've traded a couple of times and thought I got a fair deal, but after looking closely... the deal is always in the favor of the dealer. They will let a unit set for years rather than lose money on it.

"Fair deal" is how you view it. I accomplished what I wanted to accomplish.
