Smile Alante newbe

Hello Jayco family. We have been in the down size mode for almost a year now. Making the switch from DP to gas was not easy. I've been to a lot of forums seeing what people are saying and a Lot of dealerships looking. The post on the Alante got me interested as we thought we had picked out the RV we wanted. One look at the Alante 31V changed everything. Living in Texas had me concerned about the ability to cool with the two smaller AC. A talk with rep assured me that all is well. That said we just closed on a new 2017 Alante 31V, and will pick it up Jan 15th for the 1000 mile shake down home. With the help of information on this site I opted to have dealer install Roadmaster Reflex Steering Stabilizer for the trip home. Once we get home I may add Sumo Springs if I feel needed. Thanks for all the information on mods to your own personal rides, I plan to do some of the recommendations.

Welcome to Jayco and the Forums!

The 22,000 BTUs of the two rooftop units has been more than adequate for us while in Florida.

Enjoy and be safe!
