Going UP from a POPUP TRAILER is a matter of opinion haha... At least you didn't go get a 55 foot money eating go no-where monster.

Being an avid TENT CAMPER in the early days we finally got some wheels under us with our OFF-ROAD POPUP trailer. Still gives us a big smile running the off the power grid places we love to camp at.

I can make the Smoky Mtns at Gatlinburg TN from Northern Neck VA on one tank of gas and one hamburger stop along the way with my OFF-ROAD camper trailer and arrive fresh and relaxed.

We have all the modern things in our camper just abit short on move around room inside the camper I guess. Well maybe alot of move around room haha... makes us live more outside sitting around the patio area enjoying the woods and the babbling brooks...

Welcome to the forum! We, too were pop up campers for many years and decided to upgrade to a 2014 x17z last season. We really like it and now that it's just the two of us, the size is right. I can store it in my driveway, I can fit into campsites easily, I can get gas at most gas stations without planning ahead. You get the picture.

We haven't missed tents or a pop-up since our first night in a hybrid in '03. Haven't looked back. But that's why there are so many options out there.
