Nip it off at the bud might describe what they are trying to do. Not wait till it gets out of control. Wish the media would stop over dramatizing (sp) but that’s what they get paid to do.

In 2015 we were at Martinsville when Matt put Joey into the wall right in front of us.
The crowd went wild!

Ricky Craven and Kurt Busch at Darlington 2003. Best race finish in all the years that I have been a fan.

That was great Darlington race! The next year I got a poster from Darlington with my renewed season tickets. I always wanted to have Kurt and Ricky autograph it but never did.

I have too many memorable races from Bristol when Earnhardt, Rusty Wallace, and the Labonte brothers were racing. Who could ever forget the action when Jimmy Spencer was out there?!

Official NASCAR Release NASCAR.com March 16, 2020 at 6:37 PM

“The health and safety of our fans, industry and the communities in which we race is our most important priority, so in accordance with recent CDC guidance, NASCAR is currently postponing all race events through May 3rd, with plans to return racing in Martinsville. We appreciate the patience of our fans and we look forward to returning to the race track. We intend to hold all 36 races this season, with future rescheduling soon to be determined as we continue to monitor this situation closely with public health officials and medical experts. What is important now transcends the world of sports and our focus is on everyone’s safety and well-being as we navigate this challenging time together.”

Most unusual was race at Riverside. Mark Martin pitted. Going into the first corner after coming out of pits and all four wheels fell off!

Bast*rds... there goes my Richmond weekend....

How are they going to fit the missed 7 races into the existing schedule? Is there that many off weekends?

Martinsville is actually May 9th. Dr. Fauchi thinks there could be up to 8 more weeks of rise in infections, wonder if even this date will hold?

It is going to be a long, boring spring. It is a good thing that there are many classic races loaded on Youtube.

Looking on line at one schedule I think July 26 and Aug 2 are open. Maybe double hitter at Bristol second race. Doubling up Talladega may be pushing it.

I got a similar offer from Richmond, they have a second race in September. They also offered a full refund. I opted for the refund, as the situation on the ground changes daily, who knows what this country will look like in a month or two....
