More physical work involved. Customers are actually happy to see me and will take delivery anytime unlike RV dealerships. More income.

This was an interesting load. 2 Sea-doos, 7 snowmobiles, and 5 ATVs.

Went back to my "roots" sort of speak last week. Towed an 2000 ish 35 ft TT a short distance here locally (no pic). Then headed to Newburgh, NY to pick up a 2004 Keystone Mountaineer 5er headed to Quispamsis, New Brunswick where I picked up a 2011 Sierra park model headed to Hunter River, Prince Edward Island. Lost the side skirt in the wind as you can see in the pic. Fun trip, i don't miss hauling RVs that much lol!

You happen to pass through Virginia on 64 West a few weeks back? I think it was on our way home from vacation on July 19th. I passed a white Dodge dually pulling a gooseneck trailer like the one you have the cars on. It had the door sticker with the name on it & I said I would remember it to ask about on this thread. Of course I forgot all about it until I saw this thread again. Now the name that was on there has slipped my mind. I am sure there are many other white Dodge duallys, but I thought I would check to see if I was side by side with a fellow JOF.

50 ft trailer, I'm 65 ft bumper to bumper. You get use to it i guess. Tows amazingly when loaded. Prefer it to towing a travel trailer lol!

Howie...nope never been that far south with my rig. I am leaving next Thursday for El Centro, California though. Will be first time I've ever been that far into the western states.

Quite the different loads. Looks like you haul some boats without them being on their own trailer. Do you have special cradles or are they supplied by dealer?

Boats have all been on their own trailers. I winch them on. More work than cars but pays 2-3 x what a car does.

Made it back from California alive. I drove through 14 states and 4 provinces, just over 12,000 kms. Took 1.5 days off in San Diego since I've never been there, stopped in Middlebury, Indiana to visit friend for a day. 13 day trip overall. Some amazing scenery on this trip! The truck never missed a beat! Highest towing elevation was approx 8500 ft and i was empty when i went through the Eisenhower Tunnel at a little over 11,000 ft. Towed a mobile stage platform weighing just over 10,000 lbs out to Cali then picked up a small boat once back in Ontario to deliver to a very happy customer in Saint John, NB.

Not really. I do move quite a few personal units though, especially this time of year. Common practice in this area is to leave your RV on a seasonal lot for the summer. Seems most don't have a truck so they contact someone like me to move it for them. Headed out in a few minutes to do just this. These moves pay much better than delivering new units.

Towed this 2002 or maybe 03?? Jayco Designer from a seasonal lot back to a residence today. Someone kept this unit is pristine condition! And still towed beautifully as all the Jaycos seem to.

Had a nice 1950 Ford F100 on the trailer last time. Getting ready for a trip to Courtenay, British Columbia. Nothing like a coast to coast Canadian trip in the fall. SHould be some cool scenery.

I have made about 6 trips to Louisville, KY in the last two months from south Georgia. I saw countless RV units bearing transporter tags being towed down Interstates 65, 24, and 75. They say there is a problem getting units delivered when they are purchased. Has anyone looked in any Camping World lots lately? They must all be being delivered to Camping World and not the independent dealer. Camping World lots are overflowing. The CW in Byron, GA just expanded by about twice its acreage for RV display.
