Just finished installing Horst Miracle Probes on both my Gray tank and Black tank.

I recorded the process and uploaded it to youtube:

Re-strung 2 window shades. The re-stringing was super easy but the hanging was a nightmare/ Just like window coverings in your house, no room to work hard to reach etc.

Replaced tv coax on roof

Noticed the little boot for the coax into the roof was shot and the cable was all dried out and cracked. Replace the cable, boot and lubed up the antenna. While I was up there noticed the skylight over the shower was in sad shape with a crack and hole. That is next on the list!

New thermostat

Furnace was acting up and intermittently not firing. I found if I tapped on the unit it would sometimes fire so I decided to upgrade the thermostat to digital. So far so good. I think I’ve earned a nap!

Installed a Valterra hose carrier. I had planned on going with a square post with caps but we won a $50 Amazon gift card for Christmas decorations so I have about 10 bucks invested in the Valterra. Haven't traveled with it but seems like it will work fine. Completely alleviates the need to haul around a plastic tote (that I used to store the sewer hose in).

I have it and love it. One thing though, I bought little snap rings to lock it closed. One trip I either forgot to close it properly, or it vibrated loose. I have no idea how long that umbilical cord was dragged along behind the trailer until some nice person pointed it out as they were passing us. I pulled over, shoved what remained back in the tube (one side was worn through, but it was surprisingly intact, thank you RhinoFlex), made sure it was shut and threw it out when we got home. The little snap rings have been fantastic.

Today I installed my Roku3 device behind the tv and set it up to hotspot to my phone. In addition to receiving over the air broadcasts, we can now still stream if we have a cell signal.

I modified the AC vent outlets. I removed the black cylinder from the AC vent and added HVAC foil tape between the ceiling and the AC ductwork. The rear duct holes were pretty pretty close to the same size as the black cylinders. However the space from the mid trailer duct work and the ceiling was at least 1/2" deeper than the black cylinders. There was clearly lost cooling pushing into the dead space between the ducts and the ceiling. From what I have read, this will improve the AC cooling flow. It is kind of hard to judge on a 50 degree day. Total time, about 10 mins per AC vent.

Drove to to the RV yard and topped off the tires with my trusty Viair (no AC power in the yard). Then hooked it up and moved it a few feet to a different spot of the tires. Anything to fill the days until it’s travel time again!

shoveled it out again.. third dump in seven days. One side still encased and entry impossible.

We did not need the entire winter deposited in one week.

I encourage anyone who hasn't done this to take a look at your A/C vents. I did this mod 5 or 6 years ago and it greatly increased my A/C efficiently by not letting cold air escape into the attic. Very easy to do and you'll love the results. Great post David!

Agree with this. I was surprised when I purchased my 2019 new, that while the black piece was there, the taping had already been done from the factory. Made it a very easy job.

Added a little water to battery, cleaned pos / neg battery cable connections and sprayed with hair spray ( extra hold ). Filled the empty 20lb propane tank. Noticed that the hose ( regulator to tank) had some cracks so I ordered a new one.

Washed roof, taped 5 ft. section at rear of rig where the rubber roof is losing it's top coat. Put a coat of EPDM primer on it and parked it under a shed until tomorrow when the top coat is applied.

The summary of what I did was to hook up the 5th wheel and drive it out of the driveway to the street and then return it to the driveway. There was quite a bit of effort with nothing to show at the end of the day. Details of the day below.

I was planning to adjust the kingpin box to lower the front end to make the trailer very close to level. I have added airbags so the truck squat is gone. This was my second attempt at completing this task. The first time, I realized the lower threads needed to be chased out with a tap to get the rust off before the bolts would go in. The two bolts on the front have threads on the kingpin. The rear two bolts have a separate nut. With the threads all cleaned, I expected this to be a 2 - 3 hour project.

I pulled the bolts and used a piece of steel bar as a hinge. The front of the pin box was resting on blocks in the pickup bed. This allowed me to raise and lower the landing legs to easily move the pin box up and down. I got the king pin box raised up and 7 of the 8 bolts went in. There seemed to be a slight miss-alignment in the bolt pattern between the pin box and the pin box mount. the upper bolt holes that were used all fit in easily. The lower bolt holes are off just enough to keep all 8 bolts from going in. I spent a couple of hours starting with different bolts trying to get the front 4 bolts installed. The problem is with the front holes that mate with the threads on the pin box. I can get the drivers side in or the passenger side in.

I will attempt this again in a week or so. I need to think about me next plan of attack. I might need enlarge the holes on the pin box mount to give me enough tolerance to get all 8 bolts installed. One who keeps doing the same thing over and over expecting different results.

As I said in the beginning, all I had to show for the day is that I hooked up the 5th wheel and moved it enough the avoid tire flat spots.

Just to add to the day, my backup camera on the truck stopped working.
