How to store sewer hose

Searched hose storage but most replies were for outside set ups on TTs
We have ours in a rubbermaid tote in back outside compartment The container is too wide but is the only one that fits that seals well. Have to tip it to slide it in and that is yucky

Don't want the hose in the people part or rhe rig .
Any specific suggestions for storage appreciated!

We've used these for a couple of seasons...
https://www.amazon.com/Ziploc-Double...ic%2Bbags&th=1

We have an outside storage compartment I use for the sewer 'bag' and other water stuff. It is tall on the inside, but it has a smallish door. No way could I find a rigid container to fit.

So, I put the 'gray water rinsed' and drained sewer hose and the other sewer fittings in the large bag, put the top of the bag in the compartment and fold the top over then push the bottom of the bag up and in.

I keep mine in a Sterilite tote, but your back bumper is designed to hold the hose.

Agreed, rear bumper. But I keep mine in a clear storage container with a lid in the storage compartment.

Rear bumper for sure. Make sure your end caps have some type of vent hole in them so your hose can dry out. I added a self tapping screw trough the bumper and through the end caps to keep them from vibrating off. Inevitably they will

I drilled a hole (about 1/8” or so) in the top and bottom of the bumper, including the lip of the rubber end cap. I put in one of the cheapie aluminum tent stakes from the top, down through the bottom hole. Works like a charm for keeping the caps on, and simple to remove and replace when the hose is needed.

I think most of the people responding have Travel Trailers or 5th Wheels. I believe the OP has a Class A. I don't know that the rear bumper in the Class A has sewer hose storage.

Your friendly Walmart or Target should be able to supply whatever you need.

I can't imagine stowing the sewer hose in a tote! Use the bumper, it's not strong enough for much besides a sewer hose anyway

I am sure Jayco has a spot intended for a sewer hose, but I really do not know where.

Two clear totes would work nicely. One to fit the hose, and another to fit the various adaptors you might have.

Personally, I would do a search in the mods section. A lot of people with pull behinds have added either a square place fence post under the camper to hold the slinky stinky, or a PVC pipe. I think a black ABS pipe would look and work nice.

Wash the hose out, put it in a storage box that fits inside a storage compartment
And your done. That's what the rest of us do. Don't know why yours is "Yucky" and you need a container that is sealable.

I own a Precept. The tiny, front, driver side, bay, is working for me. Everything, so far, related to Black Tank, fits in there. Done. (I keep the rubber gloves in the fresh water bay. :-)) Ted

I would be a bit surprised if a class A did not have a dedicated spot for the hose, my Alante has the standard 4" square bumper storage. Both end caps have a 1" square cutout for ventilation and I use the screws to hold them on, but really like the one posters idea for the wire tent stake.
So, no place to mount a black PVC tube under the rear for storage? I have seen RV'ers do that, large diameter hose clamps bolted to an exhaust hanger and end caps, one fixed and the other drilled and fitter with a strap to help remove the cap.

I have a Rhino-flex hose. One end has an angled fitting on it. Solution? Hose won't fit in a plastic fence post, with attached fitting.

I also have a Rhino-Flex, but the angled end is removable, I keep it in a large zip-lock in the shore power box as that's next to the bumper tube.

We don't have a bumper tube. I'll check the fitting removal. A small, sealable, container, may be easy to find. TD

I'm with Ted. Use the small compartment on the drivers side front of our Precept for sewer hoses, connectors, donut, black tank rinse hoses and tank chemicals. Perfect size compartment.
