Insignia TV’s

Ok, could not get camp site cable TV working at Lebanon KOA with our 2021 Alante 31V last week.

Seems the Insignia TV’s could not scan channels. They had Verizon at camp site and their test tv worked fine.

Yes, we turned off the OTA antenna, etc…

Anyone else have this issue?

This is new RV, hate to buy new TV’s.

ours didn't work but that was because the cables were connected on both ends but not connected somewhere in the middle
. the dealer couldn't find where so he ran a whole new cable. everything works fine now.
we have insignia tvs

The only problem I have is when I forget to change the tv imput to tv. If I watched a movie and have it set for hdmi1 then it will not give me the auto channel search function. Other than that the TV has worked fine. Good luck with yours. Safe travels

Enjoy the journey

How do I run channel auto scan on my Insignia TV?
To perform a channel scan start by:
Press MENU on your remote control. ...
Press the right arrow, and then select Auto Tuning by pressing the middle button surrounding the direction buttons to start the channel scan.
After the search has completed, the channels will be automatically stored in the memorized channel list.

same problem on our first trip out. We had to hook the cable to the pole run it through a window to the back of the TV and it worked. We are bringing it to the dealer in a couple of weeks.

Yep, hoping I can get someone to fix, might take back to dealer or see if mobile rv tech can make a visit, get dealer or Jayco to reimburse.

Quality Control these days… lack there of.

Depends on the situation. Also some dealers have their own Mobile Techs.

In our case, behind the TV, there is a cable access port. Our 2020 Greyhawk is satellite-ready but we don't use it. So within that access panel there is a "SAT" cable and one or two cables that are disconnected. As someone else has mentioned in another post here, if you put a cable tester on one of those free cables, you will likely find that one of them goes to the outside/campground cable port. Switch the SAT connection to that outside port and you should be good to go.

Is this the first time you've tried to watch cable???

Before you buy a QAM tuner, look up the specs on the Insignia TV. Insignia is a big brand, Best Buy's House brand, and find out if one is built it. You can also call Insigna's Support line. I did a couple of times, they were fantastically helpful.

Picking up 25' or so of RG6 cable at Walmart is also a good idea. Then run the cable direct from the TV to the campground connection -- bypass all of the inside wiring. With that connected, then switch your TV from "Over the Air" to "Cable" and scan for channels.

That'll help tell you what's going on.

Finally got to this, Jayco did not hookup the wires.

Wire on left goes to main TV, the other two were behind the faceplate, not hooked up.

Once I get to campsite, will see if blue/red is the cable tv.

Couldn’t get it to work at campsite.

Jayco authorized me to have a mobile tech to come out and fix.

To call 877-803-6633 and they will arrange local person to stop by.
