Replace 24 volt flooded lead acid batteries

I have two solidstate 12 volt flooded lead acid batteries wired in series in my Jayco precept 36A motorhome. I'd like to replace them with two 12 volt 120ah AGM batteries wired in series (maintanance free, more amp hours). Is that safe?

The system does not care if the batteries are flooded acid or AMG. Take a picture of how your batteries are wired prior to disconnecting them. You do NOT have a 24 volt system, unless someone created a custom power grid. It should be wired up in parallel.

Series will get you more (combined) voltage - Parallel with get you more amp hours. I agree with JA - you shouldn't have a 24 Volts system. Series the positive cable from battery 1 goes to the negative post on battery 2. Parallel its positive to positive and negative to negative...
