Just an FYI, I may or may not have worked for Jayco for 6 plus years and may or may not continue to work very closely with them and the RV industry. Lol. I dont know if I'm breaking the rules by being here but I enjoy reading this forum and always wanted to contribute so when I saw this initial post I felt like I should chime in.

It's great to have someone who may or may not have insider knowledge.

Just bought 2019 36u Precept Prestige and have the same tool - no idea what it's for - does not look like the roof vent strut - no holes to mount it

It took me a while to find out what this tool is used for. Note the alan wrench opposite the wheel - this is used to crank up the overhead bunk over the driver if the motor fails, it fits into the end of the motor with very little room.

So...anyboby knows what it is and what it can be used for?
I contact Jayco and this is the toll for my front bunk bed to raise and lower in case of power failure. This crank the bunk bed up and down the shaft is situated in the front cabinet over the driver side

I was told by dealer at walk-thru it is for Microwave removal.
If it actually is for manually raising the bunk, it seems to be of a lot more importance.
