missey 365, our unit is a 2020, and so far we have been out twice totaling about 2 weeks and around 2,100 miles of use. So far we have not had any trouble with our bathroom sink or counter. Could you please explain the problem that you are having and post pictures? Maybe even start a new thread? I, and others here, would be glad to help. As for storage, I am still going through a learning curve to get things to work with this unit. I moved the ladder to the rear ladder to free up room in the pass through. The tools are stored under the couch by the furnace instead of the pass through. I put pegboard on both sides of the pass through inner walls. That helped get stuff out of the way. Underneath each of the side dinette seats, there is room between the tubs and walls for a certain size storage tote that we keep seldom used items in. I can get you the size if you want. The shelves in the bathroom closet really helped create a lot of storage. Some people may want to use it for a closet to hang clothes in, we left a small space for that. I also found extra storage on each side of the outside kitchen pull out for small items. Please post any storage ideas you have. Jay

The scenario of the problem of the 2018 24RBS Being a owner of a new to us travel trailer and a first time camper, we have a very big learning curve. Bought this camper in 11/2019 and picked up in 1/2020, then left for Florida in February.
1. after literally 1 week of our first trip to Florida, noted the bathroom sink separating. We are 2 older adults, no children, no water being left on the counter. Actually the first 3 days we were traveling from RI in February to Florida and had no water available as we were not able to unwinterized. I cannot figure out why this happened or what can be done besides replacing.
2. The plug in the bedroom with 2 usb ports stopped working. checked out the fuses, not blown.
We have not done any mods as im not sure what needs to be done. If we do any, will post here. I was looking for any suggestions on how one uses the spaces. I like the idea of the shelving in the bathroom closet. Just not sure what to do with the bedroom closets. Would luv any suggestions on storage. ty

missey 365, it looks like water has got in there and made the counter top swell. IMHO, the only solution is to replace it. If an exact match is not a priority, I would go with corian or another type of solid surface with no wood. Another cool possibility would be a counter top with the sink molded in, not having a separate sink. Sorry I didn’t respond sooner. Jay

A couple more small mods. First I did an inspection of underneath the bathtub. I found that it was much better supported than our other camper. It only needed 1 additional 2x4 support board. While I was there I made sure that the drain connection was tight (it was thanks Jayco) supported the drain pipe better, and foamed where the plywood floor was cut into. Then I had the DW pour 5 gallons down the drain while I looked for any leaks. None were found. I also caulked around the floor. (No picture). Jay

Next, I replaced the hard to use (for me) hooks for the safety chains that hook up to the TV. It’s one of the many small things to make the whole camping experience better. More mods to come. Jay.

No problem. I have contacted Pete’s RV and plan to have evaluated. We were literally in the rv for 5 days with no water avail at the sinks for 3 of those days due to cold weather. We couldn’t un winterize till we got to warmer weather. Not sure if it was a crappy fix from previous owner and got by the dealer. Hopefully they will help out otherwise DH will be fixing.
I was wondering if this was a problem for other Jayco owners?
The plug with USB ports stopped working, checked the fuses, and not sure what happened there.
Just a few bumps for a newer camper.
Ty for ur posts and response.

Both my kitchen and bathroom sink counter tops are fine in my 2018 24RBS.

Is it possible that you have tripped GFCI? Does the outlet in the bathroom work? The GFCI can power outlets all over the rig, and even a ceiling fan. If not, the cheap usb outlet is an easy replacement with a better one.

A couple more mods. Moved the spare tire to the front to get it off the rear bumper. This will make room for the rack. I also added a battery shut off. The battery set up is only to get us through this season. Next season, I’m going with an AGM in a different place. Jay

A couple more quick mods. First a screen for the furnace. I was surprised to see how much the the outer wall is “ sucked in” by the furnace vent. Like it wasn’t long enough. Second, I got rid of the key lock for the outside shower. Makes life a little bit easier. More to come. Jay

There is a' piece' of OSB plywood behind the aluminum siding that the (4) exhaust assembly screws anchor too. Appears they really torqued the screws down thus compressing the aluminum 'flat' against the OSB.
My exhaust assembly isn't compressed as bad as yours which may account for the added caulking between my exhaust assembly flange and the aluminum siding.

Jay,
I had some issues with my furnace exhaust/vent assembly. The first couple posts in the following thread have pics of the exhaust/vent pipe assembly and the cutout through the OSB.

Thanks for the detail of how the furnace is set up. So far I have not had any problems with my furnace, at least with the limited use so far.
Now another mod: cleaned and painted both the skylights, the one in the shower and the one in the kitchen. Used plastidip in white. The light was reduced somewhat, but the heat load was reduced in a big way! Many thanks to the

Next mod, reinforce the suspension. Using 2” square tube (1/8 inch thick), I did a modified version of the Lippert suspension fix for units that have folded over the spring hangers. (Usually units with a wide spread axles). In the center, the tube is welded directly to both spring hangers, but without the plates to the frame that is showed in their drawing. At each end I went past the outside of each hanger. Then the both sides of the hangers, the tube, and the frame, were welded together. I’m not an engineer, but I figure roughly a 100% increase in strength, while still allowing the required flexing to keep things from breaking. Jay.

I just bought a 5/8” length twist knob and replaced the key lock cylinder with it. At first, I bought a 7/8” length cylinder and it was way too long. It would be just like replacing the non locking cylinder on a pass through cargo door. Jay

missey 365, we will be camping next week, so I will get you a picture of the sky light from the inside. Right now the sky lights are under a roof,so you would not get a very good idea of what it looks like from the inside.
