By the way it works great. I have it on my outdoor fridge for the same reason. Also used these to keep my drinks from moving all over.

More mods. Added a maxx air fan. Vent in bedroom had no fan. Added a digital thermostat hated the extreme temp swing of the original. And finally moved the hydralic arms for the driver side basement door up. Much easier to reach in now.

Does that 2 1/2 inches equate to how much the door opens higher?

I am not exactly sure I believe it would be. I removed the lower mounts held the door where I wanted it and reinstalled the screws in that position.

A couple more mods added battery powered light to rear storage 2019 and newer come with a light back there. Replaced shower trap coupler. It is a better connection and it moved the trap up a few inches. Now my storage tubs fit under it.

I had the time. Quarantined for two weeks decided to add a switch for the hallway lights. The living room and hallway were all on one switch. Quite annoying when you just want to go up stairs. You had to light the whole place up.

Found time for another mod. Changed door handle out with one that has more of an automotive style handle.
