This morning I went to out to do the Ac vent mod before our trip this afternoon. Had my Duct tape all set to go, and then pulled the first vent. I was surprised to see they’d already taped the space between the ceiling and the duct. In my HT I had to do that myself. So, they do get some stuff right.

I did that mod a few days ago, after seeing it posted here. The space between the ceiling and the next layer up wasn't very big, but figured it couldn't hurt. The vents all were pretty tight in the holes.
I did find, that a couple of the vent collars were very close to the top of the trunk line. One was only 1/4" from the top. I cut 1/2" off one collar, and removed another completely. Not that they weren't working OK, but thought it'll make them a little better. We'll find out in a week or so. This forum is great!

It's a good idea to inspect all of them. Most all of mine appeared right on the ceiling.

I did pull all the collars. The tape was good enough for me, and all but two didn’t need a little extra tape. I have quite the collar collection between this and my last trailer.

Like JFlightRisk, I found collars that were very close to the ceiling (plenum top?). That close would restrict air flow into the collar and maybe to vents further 'down' the air flow. Unlike JFlightRisk, I tossed all the collars and taped the all gaps (mine had no tape).
It seems like it improved air flow, but I have no way to measure any changes.

Looks like you got lucky, and got a rig built on a Tuesday, and not built on a Monday or Friday!
