About to do a swap out of entry door window to a Lippert Thin Shade.

This will allow us to see out via the door window and utilize a draw shade for privacy.
Pics to follow.

I just received my 171BH and we had our first rain shower today. I noticed that water is pooling between the roof and front cap, should I be worried, and do other people have this problem?

I am thinking of purchasing a Jayco BH171. Are there any common problems or issues that I need to address? What do you think about the overall build quality?

This is a great 1 year review. I didn’t have any leaks, but I agree with a lot of what she says.

If I was in market I would wait a sec to see what the tandem axle bunkhouse Ember is revealing later this month.

There are several PDI lists here and online you can check.

Just don't let the dealer fast walk you through the PDI! Take time, make notes of all deficiencies. Everything must be tested and work. Stop and ask what is this again if you aren't 100%.

Common faults, leaks in windows, door, electrical problems due to sloppy wiring, poorly installed cabinetry, not enough screws and staples holding seats, etc. in place.
Don't forget to check that all exterior lights work.
Don't sign anything or take their word for anything not in writing.

Just watched a video on it and it looks pretty easy if you get the window clip release tabs from the manufacturer

Also, thinking of getting a tongue box for odds and ends at a later date.
Can you post some pictures of where and how you moved your battery. I'm trying to do the same.

Put it between rails right where they usually put them. You can look at the 166fbs dual lithium battery box thread I posted if you like.

Batteries

I like the tool box idea. I'm trying to move it inside as I got a 200 amp lithium. I was looking at under the bed in the space next to the water heater, it fits perfectly. My issue is where to ground. I'm thinking about just running the cable out the hole for the low point drains and just attaching it to the frame

Are you not using existing battery leads?

I plan to reuse them. But they don't reach.

If your wiring doens't reach I think Lowes sells #10 stranded in red and black by the foot. Mine had plenty of length from the factory to re-route them under the front, up through a hole I bored in the floor and onto the battery. I like it inside be cause lihiums don't like to charge below 32 degrees and inside is warmer by a bit. And our first campout at Great Sand Dunes NP it snow twice at night.
