AC and Microwave not working

I’m in the middle of remodeling my home and my wife and I have had to stay in the travel trailer while we are painting.
I changed my dryer outlet to a 30 amp RV plug so that I can plug my trailer into it. For whatever reason, the AC will not kick on nor does the microwave work. Moreover I noticed the batteries are not charging. I know for a fact that I have 250 V coming from the plug and that it is not the issue.
However, if I plug it into a 110 outlet with the adapter I sometimes can get the AC to kick on although I know it’s overloaded due to the amount of amps the AC takes to fire off .
All breakers have been checked and GFCI in the bathroom .
. I’m at a loss as to why I cannot get my trailer to power up . Any help would be very appreciative.

Are you sure you want 220 volts? Unless that is a big trailer, most travel trailers are 120 volts, 30 amps.

Dryers are 2 hots (120 each) and a neutral. RV 30 amp is one hot(120) and a neutral and a ground. I guess you could cap off one of the hots but you didn't say you did that.

Did you wire the outlet to use just one leg of the 240 volts? You do not want to wire a 30 amp outlet with 240 volts as it is only 120. A 50 amp outlet would use both legs of the 240 volt feed.

The 30 amp would use the common plus one leg of the hot. The other leg would not be used. If you wired both 240 legs to the 30 amp outlet you will fry everything that is connected to 120 in your rig.

A simple voltmeter will be able to tell what you are getting and where it may be getting lost.

That is the issue you probably already fried everything. As was mentioned a normal 30 amp RV plug is only 120v.

What do I need to check to see if I damaged anything ?
As of right now My fan will cut on and outlets work when I have it plugged into a 15 amp 120 outlet on the outside of my garage .
Is that an indicator that I should be ok as long as I take of the legs off of the 240 and plug it back in ?

How about your 12v lights? Will they work with the rig plugged in and the battery disconnected? That will determine if the converter is still OK..
